be ware they have gone to dogs Sterling Resorts is a time-share company, which has
sold a no. of time-shares during the last four to five years.
The company has failed to provide proper service to its
members. The company had not constructed the apartments to the
specifications at Sterling Mussorie. The matter when pointed
out was hushed up with many lucrative offers to keep shut. The poor service is evident from the newspaper
report published in the Hindustan Times dt. 14.10.99 and in
Times Of India, dt.. October 16, 99.
The company chairman, Shri P. N. Mohan vide his
circular dt. Dec. 22, 1999 had announced a new scheme of
Lifetime annual annuity charges for various categories of
time-share members. The scheme on the face of it appears to be
good, but then the question arises about the sanctity of the
same. The company does not seems to have a consistent policy. The greatest problem now is with the booking systems. They say that they book 90 days in advance only. when you send a booking request on the day of opening of the booking, you get a message that the same is full. Then the company issues you a confirmation that the booking has been done, where as when you reach the destination you find that you do not have a booking. This company is in severe cash crisis and is trying to sell the weeks through bookings by travel agents and members are denied their share. The company doesn’t seem to have clear intentions and are trying to cheat the members as they are in their net now and they cannot do anything except to dance at their tunes. So dear consumers and members of the Sterling Resorts. Beware of this company. Bring to our notice their fallacies so that we all combine to fight with them for our rights.
